Adventistische Schriften über: "Christian Character in the emotional Environment"
Answer
Christian character is cultivated through self‑control, patience, gentleness and love, which teachers and parents must first master themselves. The emotional environment of the home, where affection is nurtured and the Spirit of God presides, directly shapes youths’ moral and spiritual development. Associating with pure, thoughtful, and God‑fearing companions reinforces this character, while negative influences can corrupt it. Thus, a Christ‑centered emotional environment is essential for forming true Christian character.
Christian Character Development in the Emotional Environment
»Parents and teachers of schools are certainly disqualified to educate children properly, if they have not first learned the lessons of self-control, patience, forbearance, gentleness, and love. The early education of youth shapes their character in this life, and in their religious life.«
Christlike Forbearance and Patience in Education
»Self-cultured, self-controlled, under discipline in the school of Christ, having a living connection with the great Teacher, they will have an intelligent knowledge of practical religion; and keeping their own souls in the love of God, they will know how to exercise the grace of patience and Christlike forbearance.«
Home as a Heavenly Environment for Character Formation
»Home should be made all that the word implies. It should be a little heaven upon earth, a place where the affections are cultivated instead of being studiously repressed.«
Companionship and Its Impact on Christian Character
»If the youth could be persuaded to associate with the pure, the thoughtful, and the amiable, the effect would be most salutary.«

Why I built EGW Vision
Hello, I am Stephan Krol. I started this Ellen White website to make the writings of Ellen G. White and the Adventist pioneers easier to access for everyone.
EGW Vision helps you find topics, statements, and quotes faster, especially when many original sources are not yet fully available in your language. The tool searches semantically, groups relevant content by topic, and presents matching results as clearly as possible in your language.
My hope is that this tool supports personal Bible study, strengthens trust in the original sources, and helps more people discover the message of these writings with clarity, depth, and joy.
