Adventistische Schriften über: "Christ's Vision of the Success of His Suffering"

Answer

Christ already, during His earthly ministry, looked beyond the apparent failure and toil to the ultimate triumph of truth. He endured the cross and the shame for the joy that lay before Him: the redemption of humanity and their restoration into the divine image. In the end He will look with satisfaction upon the result of His soul's suffering and welcome His redeemed as the reward of His shed blood in the Kingdom of God.

The Result of Christ's Soul Suffering

»It was because of the joy that lay before Him—so that He could lead many sons to glory—that He endured the cross and despised the shame. And however incomprehensibly great the sorrow and the shame were, the joy and the glory are far greater. He looks upon the redeemed, who are renewed in His own image, each heart bearing the perfect imprint of the Divine and each face reflecting the likeness of their King. He sees in them the result of the toil of His soul and He is satisfied. Then He declares with a voice that reaches the gathered multitudes of the righteous and the wicked: “Behold the price of My blood! For these I have suffered, for these I have died, that they may dwell in My presence through eternal ages.”«

The Triumph over Apparent Failure

»As the Redeemer of the world, Christ was constantly confronted with apparent failure. He seemed to accomplish little of the work He longed for, to set right and to save. Satanic powers were constantly working to hinder His way. But He was not discouraged. He always saw the result of His mission before Him. He knew that truth would ultimately triumph in the struggle with evil, and to His disciples He said: “I have spoken this to you so that you may have peace in Me. In the world you have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world.”«

Converted as the Fruit of His Sacrifice

»It was Jesus' intention to draw attention to the crowning sacrifice that was to bring His mission to an end in a fallen world. ... After His crucifixion these events would be linked to His trial and death; prophecies would be examined and would reveal that this was indeed the Messiah; and the converts to faith in Jesus would be multiplied in all nations.«

Why I built EGW Vision

Hello, I am Stephan Krol. I started this Ellen White website to make the writings of Ellen G. White and the Adventist pioneers easier to access for everyone.

EGW Vision helps you find topics, statements, and quotes faster, especially when many original sources are not yet fully available in your language. The tool searches semantically, groups relevant content by topic, and presents matching results as clearly as possible in your language.

My hope is that this tool supports personal Bible study, strengthens trust in the original sources, and helps more people discover the message of these writings with clarity, depth, and joy.
