Adventistische Schriften über: "Chapter on Lucifer's fall to Satan, the planning/creation of the earth, the establishment of the redemption plan and the war in heaven"
Answer
Lucifer's fall began with pride, self‑exaltation, and envy of Christ's position, which led to the spread of discontent and eventually to open war in heaven. After the banishment of Satan and his rebellious angels, the Father consulted with the Son about the creation of man to inhabit the earth.
The redemption plan was not a later thought, but had already been formulated before the foundation of the world, to provide salvation for fallen humanity and to demonstrate God's justice and love before the entire universe.
The War in Heaven and the Decision to Create Man
»Then there was war in heaven. The Son of God, the Prince of Heaven, and his faithful angels took up the fight with the arch‑rebel and those who had allied with him. The Son of God and the true, faithful angels were victorious; and Satan and his sympathizers were cast out of heaven. [...] The Father consulted with his Son regarding the immediate execution of their plan to create man so that he would inhabit the earth. He wanted to place man in a probationary period to test his loyalty before granting him eternal security.«
Lucifer's Jealousy and the Beginning of the Fall
»Lucifer's desire for supremacy returned, and envy of Christ resurfaced. The high honors that had been bestowed upon Lucifer were not regarded as a special gift from God and therefore did not inspire gratitude toward his Creator. He boasted of his brilliance and exaltation and strived to be like God. [...] Lucifer left his place in the immediate presence of the Father and set about spreading the spirit of discontent among the angels.«
The Determination of the Redemption Plan before Creation
»The redemption plan had already been formulated before the creation of the earth; for Christ is “the Lamb that was slain from the foundation of the world”; yet even for the King of the universe it was an inner struggle to give his Son to death for the guilty race. [...] Christ's act of dying to save man was intended not only to make heaven accessible to humanity, but also to justify God and his Son before the entire universe in their actions concerning Satan's rebellion.«
The Redemption Plan as an Eternal Resolution
»The plan for our redemption was not a later impulse, not a plan formulated only after Adam's fall. It was a revelation of the “mystery that had been concealed from eternal times.” [...] From the beginning, God and Christ were aware of Satan's fall and the fall of man through the seductive power of the rebel. God did not decree that sin should exist, but He foresaw its existence and made provisions to address this dreadful predicament.«
The Open Conflict before the Expulsion
»It was the gravest crime to rebel against God's government. The whole heaven seemed in turmoil. The angels were organized into divisions, each division with a higher‑ranking commanding angel at its head. Satan opposed God's law because he ambitiously sought to exalt himself and was not willing to submit to the authority of the Son of God, the great commander of heaven.«
