Adventistische Schriften über: "As Adventists, what awaits us in this time, in the 21st century, and in this generation to which we belong?"

Answer

Adventists face in the present time an intense spiritual battle, as the great conflict between truth and error moves toward its end. In this generation believers are called to proclaim the threefold angelic message as guardians and light‑bearers with moral courage, without adapting out of fear of losing prestige in the world. It is a time of testing, in which mere intellectual knowledge of the truth is insufficient; rather, a profound heart conversion and a life that reflects God’s commandments amid an increasingly lawless world are necessary.

Moral Courage in the Time of Testing

»In this time of testing and trial it is not enough to have merely an intellectual knowledge of the truth. Work of the heart must be done. ... If there ever was a time in the history of Seventh‑day Adventists when they should stand up and shine, it is now. No voice should be held back from proclaiming the third angelic message. May no one, out of fear of losing reputation in the world, dim even a single ray of light that comes from the source of all light. It requires moral courage to do God’s work for these last days, but let us not be guided by the spirit of human wisdom. Truth should mean everything to us. ... The great conflict is imminent, in which all sides will be involved; the entire Christian world will be entangled in it.«

Guardians and Light‑bearers for a Dying World

»In a special sense Seventh‑day Adventists have been placed in the world as guardians and light‑bearers. They have been entrusted with the final warning for a dying world. Wonderful light shines upon them from the Word of God. They have been given a work of the highest solemn significance – the proclamation of the first, second, and third angelic messages. There is no other work of such great importance. They should allow nothing else to claim their attention. The most solemn truths ever entrusted to mortals have been given to us to proclaim to the world.«

God’s Purpose and the Dangers of the End Times

»God’s purpose for His people today is the same as He had for Israel when He led them out of Egypt. ... They await the imminent return of Christ in the clouds of heaven. ... Because of the increasing power of Satan’s temptations, the times in which we live are full of dangers for the children of God, and we must constantly learn from the Great Teacher so that we can walk each step in safety and righteousness. Wonderful scenes are opening before us; and at this time a living testimony should be laid up in the life of the confessing people of God, so that the world sees that in this age, in which evil reigns on all sides, there is still a people who lay aside their own will and seek to do God’s will – a people in whose hearts and lives God’s law is written.«

Testing of Faith and Danger of Apostasy

»God will rouse His people; when other means fail, false doctrines will come among them, which will sift them and separate the chaff from the wheat. The Lord calls all who believe His Word to awaken from sleep. Precious light has come that is appropriate for this time. It is biblical truth that shows us the dangers that lie immediately before us. ... Believers should not rest in conjectures and unclear ideas about what constitutes truth. Their faith must be firmly founded on the Word of God, so that when the time of testing comes and they are brought before committees to give an account of their faith, they are able, with meekness and reverence, to provide a basis for the hope that is within them.«

Increasing Resistance to the Truth

»The forms of resistance to truth may change, the hostility may be less open because it is subtler; but the same opposition still exists and will manifest until the end of time. ... The great conflict between truth and error, between Christ and Satan, will increase in intensity until the conclusion of this world’s history. ... Those who present the truth for this time should not expect to be received with greater favor than the earlier reformers.«

Why I built EGW Vision

Hello, I am Stephan Krol. I started this Ellen White website to make the writings of Ellen G. White and the Adventist pioneers easier to access for everyone.

EGW Vision helps you find topics, statements, and quotes faster, especially when many original sources are not yet fully available in your language. The tool searches semantically, groups relevant content by topic, and presents matching results as clearly as possible in your language.

My hope is that this tool supports personal Bible study, strengthens trust in the original sources, and helps more people discover the message of these writings with clarity, depth, and joy.
