What does Ellen White write about...
Adventistische Schriften über: "Are there 6,000 prophecies in the Gospel, of which 4,000 have been fulfilled so far?"
Answer
The provided documents contain no information about a specific number of 6,000 prophecies in the Gospel or a fulfillment rate of 4,000 prophecies. Instead, the texts emphasize the variety and accuracy of biblical predictions as well as the importance of viewing prophecies in their entirety rather than as isolated individual statements.
While the large number of messianic prophecies that have been precisely fulfilled in Jesus Christ is noted, a concrete statistical breakdown of the total number of all biblical prophecies is not provided in the sources.
Number and Variety of Prophecies about the Messiah
»To illustrate the general nature and character of the prophecies concerning the Messiah, let us note: 1. Their number and variety. They begin with the promise to our first parents that the seed of the woman would crush the serpent’s head. The obvious reference to this prophecy in some traditions of the pagan nations clearly shows that it was regarded from the outset as a foretelling of the appearance of a great future Savior of humanity out of Satan’s bondage.«
Fulfilled Prophecies as Evidence of Divine Inspiration
»The word of prophecy was predictions about the most clear and definitive aspects concerning the person, character, and work of a great future Savior of humanity from the effects of the curse. And if, upon careful examination of these predictions, we find that they were all precisely fulfilled in Jesus Christ, what other hypothesis can we attribute them to except one that assumes they originated from someone who could proclaim “the end from the beginning and the things not yet happened” from eternity?«

Why I built EGW Vision
Hello, I am Stephan Krol. I started this Ellen White website to make the writings of Ellen G. White and the Adventist pioneers easier to access for everyone.
EGW Vision helps you find topics, statements, and quotes faster, especially when many original sources are not yet fully available in your language. The tool searches semantically, groups relevant content by topic, and presents matching results as clearly as possible in your language.
My hope is that this tool supports personal Bible study, strengthens trust in the original sources, and helps more people discover the message of these writings with clarity, depth, and joy.
