Adventistische Schriften über: "Aquila and Priscilla"

Answer

Aquila and Priscilla were a Jewish married couple and tentmakers who worked alongside Paul. They welcomed him into their home in Corinth and supported the preaching of the gospel while earning their living through their trade. In Ephesus, they helped Apollos gain a better understanding of the teaching about Jesus.

Aquila and Priscilla in Corinth

»Soon after his arrival at Corinth, Paul found “a certain Jew named Aquila, born in Pontus, who had recently come from Italy, with his wife Priscilla.” They were “of the same trade” as he. Because of the decree of Claudius, which ordered all Jews to leave Rome, Aquila and Priscilla had come to Corinth, where they had set up a business as tentmakers. Paul stayed with them and worked with them.«

They explained the faith more fully to Apollos

»Among his hearers were Aquila and Priscilla. When they realized that Apollos had not yet received the full light of the gospel, they took him aside and explained the way of God more fully to him. Through their instruction, he gained a clearer understanding of the Scriptures and became one of the ablest defenders of the Christian faith.«

Why I built EGW Vision

Hello, I am Stephan Krol. I started this Ellen White website to make the writings of Ellen G. White and the Adventist pioneers easier to access for everyone.

EGW Vision helps you find topics, statements, and quotes faster, especially when many original sources are not yet fully available in your language. The tool searches semantically, groups relevant content by topic, and presents matching results as clearly as possible in your language.

My hope is that this tool supports personal Bible study, strengthens trust in the original sources, and helps more people discover the message of these writings with clarity, depth, and joy.
