Adventistische Schriften über: "Appreciation of staff in the congregation"

Answer

God desires that every worker in His service, regardless of the size of their task, receives recognition and appreciation. Congregation members should treat their workers with kindness, respect, and encouraging words, rather than discouraging them through criticism or distrust. Especially in difficult times it is important to assure the workers of one's prayerful interest and compassion, to strengthen their hands for the common work.

Mutual appreciation and recognition

It is God's desire that every human instrument working for Him be recognized, no matter how small the work it performs may appear.
God's servants should work together, fit into a friendly, courteous order and “show each other reverence.” ... No person should make himself the standard, speak disrespectfully about his workers, or treat them as inferior. Under God each should perform his assigned work, being respected, loved, and encouraged by the other workers.
Take the opportunity to speak with the workers; speak words that give strength and inspiration. We are far too indifferent toward one another. Too often we forget that our workers need strength and encouragement. In times of particular helplessness and burden, be careful to assure them of your interest and compassion.
God is not pleased with this manner of dealing with His workers. He calls His people to support the hands of those who are building the work in new, difficult places, by speaking words of encouragement and uplift.
The congregation should receive these servants of Christ gratefully, as they would receive the Lord Himself. ... The truths that God's servants bring should be received and valued in the meekness of humility, but no preacher should be idolized.
The old standard-bearers who are still alive should not be placed in heavy positions. ... I am instructed to say: Every believer should respect the aged pioneers who have endured trials, hardships, and many deprivations. They are God's workers and have played an outstanding role in building His work.
  • Encouragement for staff
  • Unity in service
  • Respect for pioneers
