Adventistische Schriften über: "About the new song in Revelation"
Answer
The new song in Revelation is sung by the 144,000 redeemed who stand on Mount Zion with the Lamb. It is called the “Song of Moses and the Lamb” and is a hymn of redemption and deliverance. Only the 144,000 can learn this song, as it expresses their unique experience—they have endured the great time of tribulation and have triumphed over the beast, its image, and its mark.
The new song of the 144,000
»And they sing “a new song” before the throne, a song that no one can learn except the one hundred forty‑four thousand. It is the Song of Moses and the Lamb – a song of deliverance. No one except the one hundred forty‑four thousand can learn that song; for it is the song of their experience – an experience that no other group has ever had.«
»They sing the new song before the throne, that song that no one can learn except the one hundred forty‑four thousand who have been redeemed from the earth. “These are the ones who follow the Lamb wherever it goes. These were redeemed from humanity as a firstfruits offering for God and the Lamb. And no deceit was found in their mouths; for they stand without fault before the throne of God.”«
A song of experience and redemption
»Their song is called the Song of Moses and the Lamb. … They join their voices with those who tell their life story of Christ, the Lamb – a story of sacrifice and love. … This is a song “of victory over the beast and over its image and over its mark and over the number of its name.” Standing on the crystal sea, radiant before the glory of God, they sing the songs of the soul community with Jehovah.«
»On earth the distinguishing mark of the one hundred forty‑four thousand is the seal of God on their foreheads; in heaven it will be the wonderful song they will sing. … It is a song of experience – a marvelous melody! Not even the choir of angels can partake in these wonderful sounds when they echo through the vaults of heaven.«
Why only the 144,000 can sing the song
»The Song of Moses was the history and deliverance of Israel. The new song of the 144,000 will likewise be about their experience and their deliverance. The reason why no one except the 144,000 can learn or sing this song will be that the history and deliverance of no other class will be like that of those who go through the time of tribulation and are transformed “in an instant” at the Lord’s second coming.«
»They sing a new song that no other group can learn. In Revelation 15:3 it is called the Song of Moses and the Song of the Lamb. The Song of Moses, as seen by cross‑reference in Exodus 15, was the song of his experience and deliverance. Therefore the song of the 144,000 is the song of their deliverance. No others can partake; for no other group will have had an experience like theirs.«
