Adventistische Schriften über: "Answering of prayers after the mother's death"
Answer
God also remembers, after a mother's death, her prayers and tears that she shed for the salvation of her relatives. In documented cases, these prayers led parents to observe the Sabbath or moved children, through the painful loss of their mother, to repentance. The death of a devout woman can thus, in God's mysterious work, serve to bring her final wishes for the family to fulfillment.
God's answering of final wishes
»In the final days of her illness, she arranged her personal belongings with her own trembling hands and disposed of them according to her wish. She expressed the greatest desire that her parents should observe the Sabbath and live near us. "If I knew that this would ever happen," she said, "I could die completely satisfied." The last service her gaunt, trembling hand performed was writing a few lines to her parents. And has God not considered her final wishes and prayers for her parents? They now keep the biblical Sabbath and live happily less than a hundred feet from our door.«
Answered prayers through a painful loss
»Her death was necessary to save her children. Her earnest prayer rose to God, to save them by any path He would choose. The mother was taken away, and then her faithful admonitions, her earnest prayers, and many tears were considered and had an impact on the afflicted flock.«
